Hello you all, from a newbie in Sweden.

I've always loved the looks of the E9, but never owned one before.
I was thinking of using the coming winter to start to build a "Race CSL clone".
So I spread around that I wanted to buy an E9 restoring object.

And this is what came up. :D
1973 3.0 CS 14800 km
White (originally grey) with blue cloth interior
Totally restored 1984->87.
Just in need of some tidying up.

Picture taken 1989 by former owner.

And from 2004.

Price was right so I had to buy it.

Unfortunately to good to build race clone of.
I'll probably never get that "Race CSL". :?

I'll keep you informed about what happens in the future.
Maybe I'll respray it back to grey and put some "race accessories" to it.
Lower it.......... Put another drive train in.............

Look like you found a base for your new race car.

Unfortunately Chicane, it's way to rusty and beyond repair. To much of the vital parts are in a very bad condition.

But I admit the thought came up. :)

Hey Bert-Ola,
Good to practice the welding on though!
I suspect you have a few "toys" at home!
Cheers

This one is so bad. When I have got what's worth to save from it, scrapyard is next.

Yes, I've got some toys, but some of them just as spare cars.

Thanks.
Front are RS211 8"x16" ET11 /Pirelli P7000 225/45/16
Rear are RS022 9"x16" ET24 /Pirelli P7000 245/45/16

But they are a real tight fit.
So I get a slight rubbing at some occasions.
I will probably change them for my set of RS061 8"x16" ET20 instead, as I donīt like to roll the flares.

Hi Guys - SteveM - I had the same thought when I saw them - do you know were we can get them 'down under' - would be very interested in scoring a set
And congrats Bert on the original purchase - very tidy - and Sweden looks like a great place

Hello everyone.

Long time since I did any update here, but my car has been standing for a while. Havenīt had the time to use it as much as I wanted.

Now I maybe put it up for sale.
Need to reduce the number of cars. :(

Well, then its time to start using the car. Get rid of something else and keep the e9, too nice of a car to sell.

Hello DJSimca!

If I decide to sell I'll let you know.
I live in the south of Sweden so it's not so far from Denmark.

I have now decided to put my car up for sale.

As soon I have pictures taken there will be an ad under "Classifieds".

Lovely coupe. The photos make it look Ivory. It is not the faded white I am used to seeing. Could you post some photos of the interior?

I have put black electrician's tape behind the side vents. My car is silver and like yours the paint shows through. It is embarrasing enough BMW was too miserly to put in real vents.

The original "paper" they applied to the metal behind the vents is available: $35. a side. I'll stick with the tape or cut out some black contact paper.

Again, Lovely example.

I kind of like the delicate arms on the Volvo mirrors. And the shape of the mirror is more appealling to my eye. The original mirrors are a bit Tutonic.
