I know of a GR5 replica from FL that recently sold to Europe for nearly $175,000. That's a clone!!

Wait,... 6 additional gauges added but they kept the clock ?

I agree the ****pit/gauge layout could use a makeover.
But that's subjective, but all the others goodies, especially in the trunk, neat stuff. I don't think you'll need to fill up often, but when you do, bettter have a C-note ready....

Hi,

I was at Munich Legends last weekend getting my car serviced and looked at this and their other stock. This particular one looks really great, it's an all out ready to go racer, but their other CSL's are equally immaculate.

All are too pricey for me, and they don't exactly fly off the showroom floor either. I guess they're in it for the long term, on the basis that the buyer will eventually appear.

As far as I know, the ONLY legitimate ( By BMW's V.P. at the time)pre-BMWMotorsports non-Batmobile in the USA is a 1971 3.2L red car, brought to BMW Motorsports 20th anniversary event(1992) in Fla.,by the present owner and myself from the Phila. area.
Actually run then at Sebring,it almost kept up with the Batmobiles.

BMW had Alpina build them 11 racecars that year, but only about 4 servived, converted to street cars after the season for high-end BMW execs.
Don't know how this one slipped into the country;found sitting in a garage out west.Don't think he'll ever sell it,along with the two other CSLs he has.
God knows what that's worth,if they want these crazy prices for replicas.
