Gonna trade my BMW for a BYD!

Well, not sure what I can say about this but I had to share it with the group. Around the corner from my factory in China I found an auto repair facility that is certified to work on BYDs. I haven't actually seen a BYD but now I am on the look out. With a logo like this it must be good! Photo courtesy of my new good friend Kitty.

Somewhere in my files I may actually have a photo of one. Its clearly a BMW knockoff that I saw the last time I was over there.

I find it strange that the RIAA was able to get music IP infringement classified as a criminal offense in PRC, but getting a copy Rolex, Dupont or BMW is still pretty easy.

Music may be copyrighted in the PRC, but I doubt than many violations are dealt with.

I'm surprised that the Chinese automaker didn't swipe another well-known western trademark, and call their vehicle the "BVD"

I finally did see a couple of BYDs. I saw some old ones and some new ones. It appears they have updated their logo, I wonder why?
