    Mid-America '02 Fest

Hi Hal - You may want to reach out to Andrew Wilson (@adawil2002). I'm pretty sure this is one of his favorite events.

    Mye28 problems?

Does anyone here know what is happening with mye28.com? I get a "certificate" expired message when I try to go there. Details indicate that the "certificate" expired April 5. Internet search indicates that they were "down for maintenance" a couple of weeks ago, which would seem to coincide...

What did you do to your E9 today?

I use this procedure, and have some suggestions. You don't need to hold the expansion tank hose end as high as you can, you merely need to hold it above anywhere in the cooling system that air could be hiding. Best to hold it where you can easily see the end of the hose. When blowing in...

    Another Fjord on BaT

I started reading this site about two years before I bought my car. I watched all the for sale discussions, whether cars offered here or commentary on cars being offered elsewhere, and learned a lot. In the ten years I have owned my coupe, my opinion hasn't changed. This site is so good you...

OE number for 1971 2800CS front rotors.

Yeah, that is a downside with Rock Auto.

OE number for 1971 2800CS front rotors.

I've had good luck with Rock Auto. The detail to determine if you are getting the correct part is usually there if you click on the INFO box next to the part you think may work.

New Owner and Member - E9 2800 CS

Nakster - congratulations and welcome to the madness. What to do first - Rob Seigel, in his Hack Mechanic book, did a chapter on making an old car reliable. I would consider getting a copy of Rob's book and following his plan. By way of example, he recommends changing all the belts and hoses...

    Antenna Delete

If ever I paint my car, I plan to delete the antenna (along with the US DOT side lights). Then again, I don't have a radio installed in my car. (I listen to the induction noise from the carburetors when I drive).

Not a bad idea. I only have six.

    Another Fjord on BaT

Seller continues with bland plattitudes, with support from Corvette guy, while ignoring specific comments from some of the most knowledgeable people on the planet. It will be interesting to see how that works out.

    Interesting seller's response on BAT

Hey Dan - How about a Euro e36 wagon with the M sport package, already imported into the US: https://www.carcaveusa.com/inventory/bmw/328i/v08623r/ Car Cave is just a few miles from here. Let me know if you want more info - I like dropping in there from time to time. Last year he had three...

Opinions on Kmac adjustable strut mounts

Last time the topic came up, @adawil2002 was recommending these.

    Rear seat horsehair.

Eric - one of the keys to this is hand strength. Even with the right tools and knowing the tricks, stretching new leather requires very strong hands.

Opinions on Kmac adjustable strut mounts

Andrew Wilson is running these. I believe he was not necessarily seeking additonal negative camber (beyond the 0.5 degrees from the Carl Nelson camber plates), but instead got into them because of a variation in his car's camber side to side that Mario Langston at VSR was otherwise unable to...

    Camber/Caster Plates

There is a small benefit from additional negative camber in the rear, but your tires will wear much more quickly. And as I noted, the setup I used was unreliable. I wouldn't recommend changing this. Spend the money on tires.
