    73 POLARIS E3 BUILD...Slowly..

Stratos Blue is amazing. Looks like metalic Pastellblau but a shade or two darker with a bit od bling. And it is an early BMW color. What more could you ask for?

    BaT Encinitas CA event

Yes, admirable on both counts. Even though the first thing I do with any old BMW is switch out the bumpers.

BaT 1973 3.0CS, 'Light Blue' one

That color does not exist in real life. And the tan interior? The clash of Titans.

    73 POLARIS E3 BUILD...Slowly..

Pastellblau. Just looked at a 2002 painted that color on a website I have saved. It is not sexy, it does not pop. Rather it is soft on the eyes and shows off the curves and the lines of a Bavaria to its best advantage. I don't know if BMW ever did a Bavaria in Pastell. They should have. Steve

e3 Coil Spring PARTS for sale

I recently replaced the H&R lowering springs on my 72 Bavaria with stock springs to give the correct ride height. All these additional parts came with the springs, and so I am selling them as a package. The most valuable parts are the Strut Mount/bearings. They are not BMW, I can't find a...

rs, so a million miles on Lufthansa, you must be fluent in German by now just from sleeping in those German seats. A bit of language osmosis.

What Airlines do you Avoid and Why?

I will be flying Frontier in April from the Trenton, NJ airport, yes there really is one, to For Meyers. Frontier is cheaper by hundreds over flying out of Newark or Phila. And the airport is 30 country road minutes from my house. So, what should I be prepared for in terms of service, ho ho...

    73 POLARIS E3 BUILD...Slowly..

I love most BMW early blues. My new to me back in the day 1600 was Atlantik. Deep and rich. When I painted my 74 Polaris euro coupe I used an early Porsche Boxster silver with a wee bit of metalic. Go with the color you love. My 72 Bavaria has a tan interior. It looks good with so many colors...

1971 Euro CSi on BaT--yes another one!

Drew, yeah, that will be an interesting story. Negotiating the CA DMV or whatever the Bureau of Motor Vehicles calls itself in the Golden State will surely be Kafkaesque at its best.

1971 Euro CSi on BaT--yes another one!

I offer up this Coupe that recently sold on BaT. https://bringatrailer.com/listing/1971-bmw-3-0csi-12/ Note the tone of this car's "BaT" copy versus the tone of the car under discussion here. More importantly, compare the photos and read the comments. Both owners use the word...

    How the Addiction Started

To answer your question Bob, my addiction started long before I was old enough to drive. And in New York State that was an amazingly low age: 14!! And shortly after reaching that magic number my best friend and I were tooling across Long Island in his Aunt Lillian's 1956 Ford ragtop. My first...
