We all know the 2002 Tii is the BMW touring marquee in our age group. It was a 4 cyl 4 speed.
Hardly what I would want to tour a nation in.
Now days the term Touring is used on many non BMW models that I also wouldn't want to tour our nation in .
Just a question from the uneducated.
I know the E3 has 5 pins on the switch.
Can the E3 switches work in the E9. with a change in wire config. Hole size ?
Many of us have gutted E3's and the switches are much more stout. And I have several more than I need.
I would doubt I am the first to wonder about this and have never seen a...
My car was hit from the rear in 1989. The other cars insurance said it was totaled. My wife had gone to see Eric Clapton, while I had to work that night. She wasn't hurt.
And it was April 1. I got the call from my wife about 2AM, and spoke to the tow truck driver. He even said it was totaled.
It...
that is the one i used and it works great. It fits between the vent slats of the dash panel.
It was 100 yesterday and the
AC worked amazingly well on low. high was just too cold.
The extra length of the capillary tube makes its use easy getting to the dash and into the vent box
I had an employee that really liked my car but wouldn't stay away from it. I warned him on 2 occasions not to touch my car with out my help. I came into the shop and he was leaning against it and I fired him on the spot.
I should have fired him the first time
There are some things you just don't do!
I just removed switches and left wiring in place. No jumpers.
When I reupholstered the arm rests I never cut out the switch hole.
And you will have 2 extra switches.
It may not work for all years.
Just a btw statement.
I have an early 2800 cs and my rear armrest switches are and have been for a long time, deleted.
Function of front switches is normal.
Or I will sell you a new Pierburg that I got from @deQuincey. NIB.
And I assume the correct one for the E9. Also comes with 2 gaskets for mount.
The hand written note is from @deQuincey.
I now have a FI system and no longer need this part
I have a 2800cs 5 sp that needs a new shifter boot.
Black is OK. Not sure of fit for the ones you see on Ebay.
suggestions for vendor or ? appreciated!
Or does anyone have a pattern for a boot. I am good with a sewing machine. Mine is so dry and cracked I am not sure it would hold up to me...
That part was given to me by a previous member of our forum RANMAN.
Only the old timers on the site will remember him.
You will still have to close with authority (it is 50 years old). But door reveal and lock will be tight.
Just my experience and hope that it might help.
I have no idea of part...
I fought with mine for years and found out I was missing a part of the lock mechanism.
in the pic it is the bright grey part that fits on the flip lever. It takes up the slack and aligns the door closure.
There is a small number of batteries that will fit in the space we have available.
I am open to suggestions and not set on a brand.
Need number and brand.
thanks steve
