Also look at the ones on the production line... I don't recognise some of the bodyshells in the background - any ideas?

We had a Javelin (1970?) - not a bad car. American Motors made a big deal in their marketing about dipping the whole body shell into an immersion tank of some rust proofing solution. Do you think Karmann adopted this quaint North American practice?

Did any of these stainless cars survive?
Besides the deloren (spelling) of "back to the future" fame the only other cars I know that were made in stainless were Renault 5's in I believe South Africa in the 70's
Correct me if I'm wrong :roll:
