Is the leather really light blue or just the lighting? It will need lots of TLC for sure. From the CS Registry archives, was owned by Alfred Melton of El Paso TX, must be the seven year owner referenced.

RonP, does it appear to have Hartge components?

I don't think the color is original. It is too "blue" to be Fjord.

This reads like all that is Hartge about ths car is the engine which is from a Hartge-modified 5 series (maybe E28?).

Hartge made that designation sometime past the E28 on the 5 series. On that car it would have been a package- wheels, suspension, body, a little interior ( probably recaros) and the engine was tuned up.

It would have once had the valve cover and been 247+- hp. Who knows now? Interesting selling point though if it can be confrmed.

I think Hartge got their manufacturing designation in '86.
