My new-to-me '73 Bavaria was delivered Monday. Hooray! I had a '71 in 1994, and it's great to be back.

The sunroof is a known issue on this car. The previous owner said the cable is broken, and he did supply the cable.

As I was washing the car yesterday, I noticed the rear seal is ruined and the front seal is practically non-existent. I have order both parts.

The sunroof is currently closed (thankfully), but is leaking drops of water. I have no idea how this thing works (does it slide, etc.?) and need some guidance as to how to get it apart to replace the cable and seals. I searched for DIY's but didn't come across a whole lot.

Any help is greatly appreciated!

If you partially open the sunroof, you can pull the headliner cover down enough to allow it become free and then slide it backwards and expose all the hardware. The cover just clips on .
