    https://www.milanuncios.com/venta-de-coches-clasicos/pegaso-z103-panoramico-234218460.htm

Yes. Although I like some of the other bodies + the lemans spider.

These had some clever engineering such as trans-axles.

A low production Cisitalia-esque type of company IMHO.

Big price....OT just saw a 1955 Porsche Speedster super for 550,000usd so which one?

    Google translates the text as:

Pegasus z103 panoramic of the year 1955, only 7 or 8 units were manufactured, most of them with motor alpha romeo, this unit mounts motor Pegasus of competition with double ignition. The car is made of aluminum and completely restored in 1970, the engine was made in 2014 by the only specialist in Spain in this type of engine. Only 86 units of pegasus were made.

Which is a pretty good translation, except for the marque names; note that it changed the correct "Pegaso" and "Alfa" in the Spanish version into "Pegasus" and "Alpha" in the English.

    Pegasos were certainly outrageous cars.

Stunning cars... interesting dogleg shift pattern, though.

That was the first time I ever heard of or saw one of these things! WOW!! Yes, it has it all over the e9, but with the communists in charge of the purse it's not surprising that this never really made it into mainstream production. Imagine what the company might have produced had it survived well into the future!

    Thanks for sharing this!

DQ, several of us were there (stevehose, me, m5bb, and more) at Amelia Island in 2016 where they had about 8 of them on display, including the yellow one above. I think that represents about 10 percent of the total production! The cars had amazing details, V8 engines, Crazy carbs, etc. The yellow car was owned by the dictator of the Dominican Republic, who was not a nice person, and who died a violent death. It lives in the Louwmans collection in NL.

Francisco Franco was hardly a communist! As I recall, Franco really wanted the Pegaso to be successful and serve as a prestige marque for Spain - sort of like Rolls Royce for Britain or Mercedes for Germany. But the reality was that the car was under-developed; yea, they styling was wild and the engine was a DOHC V-8, but they weren't reliable and Spain in the 1950's couldn't afford to set up a proper dealer network.

I do apologize for any political misstatements I may have made, and I am usually the one who is being corrected. I thought that the economic climate during the production years may have been one where the profit and regeneration of funds was not as important as it may have been in other countries under different regimes as they emerged from the WWII era. I was not present (or even living) at that time so again, as my supposed education likely failed me, giving me a wealth if ill-conceived misconceptions I am all-willing to learn from those with greater knowledge and experience.

    Please excuse-

well, Peter, you do not need to apologize, there are many details of history even of my own country that i do not know, i was simply trying to understand your statement,..thank you for your kind answer,

and yes Jay gave the correct political situation of those years,

what it seems unclear is that the will of the dictator was the success of the marque,...there are some other opinions,...but i was not there neither ;-)

I've seen a few of these during restorations at a local shop. Franco wanted a prestigious world beater. The state spent a huge amount of money developing these. Many of the engineers came from Spanish aviation industry so innovative design features. They are jewel boxes with insane shift linkages and lots of cool features. I've been on rallies with some as well. Some of the models are stunning in person.

Wow, it would be nice to drive one of those here in California.
As for aviation industry re-use I believe Franco's Air Force used German and Italian gear, while the poor Spanish Republican Air Force got Soviet gear too little too late.
My spleen says that aviation heritage is a tired tag line that many car companies try to use. Back at the ranch I drive my 70s BMWs anticipating a breathtaking dog-fight against three Honda Civics on my way to Starbucks...
