Last time I got caught in the rain in my coupe was on the way to Monterey about five years ago and I forgot how to turn the wipers on!And the wipers should be the other way around
Bwahaha! I did that once on purpose after the Audi Club Covered Bridge Tour had to use water to wash off the dirt. Back in 2016 I remember how horrified everyone was when I put Athena through the automated car wash off Portola Avenue in Del Rey Oaks to get the Big Sur fire ash off the car.
Water is OK to use when covered in abrasives. I also use rain for what I call a "redneck car wash" which is essentially drying it.
