Am at the point to begin the final stage of the AC conversion, found the relay - don't know where it mounts. I understand that I need to have the compressor running during the refrigerant fill, My blue and white manuals do not clearly show which wires go to the compressor and the aux fan.

Do any of the members have a basic schematic?

Relay location is down in passenger front engine compartment under the dryer by the 2 bosch speed sensor boxes:

If your system has a low pressure safety switch you'll have to jump it in order to get the compressor on in order to fill. I'll check to see if I can find the wire colors for each.

Here are some pics of my relay. Looks like:

85 - ground
86 - Compressor and other wire that goes to dash switch (I think)
30 - 12v
87 - fan ?

What compressor are you using and does it have a wire coming off it like the York does. Look at my #86, it has 2 wires connecting to it, one to the compressor and one to the dash. In your picture the end labeled "connection to compressor clutch" looks like that goes to relay #86 like mine. The other ends will connect to the compressor wire and dash.

The Sanden Style compressor has one wire. I agree the other end of the long wire harness must go to the dash as it's a single spade. I will review the #86 -Thanks ALL!
