I am selling 2-Getrag 265 5-speed trans out of 1982 BMW 528e's
they are the original configuration without manual speedo which can be installed
1500.00 for each or 2750.00 for both
I also have a close ratio Getrag Dog-leg 5-speed trans in my coupe with a 3:25 LSD differential
Works and functions perfectly
I would like 3500.00 for the trans (you can drive if you would like) and 1850.00 for the 3.25 LSD
everything is pick-up or buyer pays shipping

Over the years I have found 265 5-speeds in 528e's --I have ignored the ones found in the older larger engine cars because of the much greater torque and horsepower__ I had one in my coupe in which I installed the manual speedo cable__ I still have it__ the others have been in my garage which I'm trying to clear out

I believe they do Hmm I'll check thanks__ but I'm selling these based on 528e minimal wear and tear not on peripheral attachments__ I probably have some bell housings laying around that I could throw in if necessary and of course the prices are negotiable.

Justin - if you happen to have that shift platform, they are becoming increasingly difficult to find and thus more valuable. Same with bell housings. I sold a bell housing here last February for $125 to someone in need, and had several people tell me I could have gotten a lot more for it. In both cases, I would not just toss these in with the transmissions (unless you happen to find a buyer you particularly like), but would recommend a price adjustment.

The bell housing for the 528e is rare and coveted. it does not fit the m30 engine.
only the 525e in europe and 528e in usa used it. this bell housing is the matchup for the M20 engine.

be aware- the ETK shows that shift platform is peculiar to the 528e

yes there are more than 1 shift platforms that look like the photo but are different lengths, the one that came on the 5 speed I bought would not work on the E9
