    E9 registry site now live!!!

Very Nice It's efforts like this that illustrate what the membership here is all about. - Thank You. Even though it's a beta version, the format is very concise and simple, which should encourage even computor-illiterate owners to participate. I hope my link to the photos was posted properly.

    '72 FS at Auto-Europe

Indeed, as many of us have opined here before. Better yet, anyone on this board that has seen this car, or requested information on this car (or any other E9) could contribute the factual data to the (under developmet) E9 registry. Asking price/sales price would be a nice field to include...

Too funny! Maybe they just traced the provenance and Elvis owned it?

It's the small things in life that...

Abe, come to think of it, I had a similar thing happen with CSI. Ordered set of bumper brackets with credit card over the phone. Month later, still no brackets. When I called up again, they simply said that the order was never processed. Since my CC was not billed and I was extremely busy at...

Wow, hope I don't p*ss you off anytime soon! Sorry to hear about your frustrations, and I'm sure you're going to dislike some of what I'm about to say, but...... I'm on the east coast and have only dealt w/ CSI Inc over the phone (not in person), but correct me if I'm wrong here in that...

    Taliban Coupe

That was Chris Bangle's last conceptual BMW design.....the one that finally woke the Board of Directors up.

    Black CSL SOLD

Yeah, any story surrounding this black BAT is grifty. Just so we're all talking about the same car... I think it's the one that was in the Malibu area last year. Big Cibies on the front bumper and wing in the trunk (but not installed)? Was it a Series II - I can't rememebr. That is the...

WOW! $23k? I guess that's what happens when the consigner needs their vig! THe market will sort that out. Regardless, I had dealt with David L at A-E and found him to be pretty professional. Kaiser-if you're interested, throw some money or at least a hard offer at them (whatever you...

    Black CSL SOLD

was the Bonham's Tiaga $120 plus any buyer's premiums? I think somebody on this board was at the auction and gave a pretty good summary of the deal a month ago. either way, I agree. The Tiaga CSL was much nicer.

    Black CSL SOLD

FYI - Just was looking through auction results and found that Black CSL that several board members had opined was "shady". There were a few threads regarding this car over the past months. I think the car was in California at the time (big Cibies on the front bumper, black, sketchy...

    '72 FS at Auto-Europe

contrary to the S**T on eBay mentioned in my earlier post, here is something offered by Michigan-consigner "Auto-Europe". http://auto-europe-sales.ebizautos.com/webdetail.aspx?iid=3899509 I don't know this car, but it looks fairly decent in the pictures and I've purchased cars from...

    Wood redo done (Pics)

Elrey, that looks fantastic! Is that birds-eye walnut? Tell us what type of stain/lacquer/poly was used. Wait until you see how is looks when you get in installed in the car! It really is the focal point of the interior and is one the one key defining elements of E9s. Are you doing...

    UUUrrrgggg!

Sorry to hear about the mishap. Hope the driver wasn't putting lipstick on or texting! Don't have any leads on bumpers (sorry) but am curious to know how the insurance companies (assuming the other motorist is insured) handle the repair. I sometimes wonder what would happen if some witless...

Can someone help with which model E9 this is?

be careful not to base any assumptions on trim. these cars are 35+ years old and many parts throughout the years are interchangable. For all we know, it could be a 2800cs. I did notice the faded paint on the trunk abruptly stops towards the rear. Maybe somebody was trying to create a BAT...

Can someone help with which model E9 this is?

you probably could have written down the VIN # from the top of the steering column. Then you'd have a shot at figuring it out. Until you know the correct VIN, it could turn out to be anything.

    E9 Registry

I have saved information (and some provenance) from several coupes I have looked at over the years (for parts and otherwise), includiing VIN #s. I have at least eight folders in my file tree directory for each car I have looked at. Pictures, scanned documents etc. I assume most on this board...

    1973 3.0CS Question?

One question though....why go through the effort of MSD ignition, ceramic-coated headers and 3X webbers and leave the 5-blade fan? Sorry, I'm just jealous!
