    My Alpina B2 powered 3.0CS

Regarding the specs of the B2 and B2S here is an answer I got from Alpina some time ago : "... B2 and B2 S both had a compression 10.0 :1. The piston of the B2 is the standard piston of the 3,0 CSI. The B2 S had a special ALPINA piston (with valve pockets), which is unfortunately not...

    72 CSL on BAT -wow!

More information, to clarify... Actually this is the list of the City Pack cars, with ranges of VINs. It is in the orange parts books. (o) is LHD and (oo) is RHD For some reason the count was not continued after 2275294. My impression is that most cars above this VIN were Citypacks. After...

    72 CSL on BAT -wow!

Up to VIN 2275294 the split Stadtpacket/Light was well documented. From 2275295 it is not so clear.

    BBS CSL wheels

The wheels displayed by IMSA-CSL are XXX-rare. They belong to the very first run of Mahle wheels, made during spring and summer of 1973. Compared to later production, their shape is different : - the outer part of the rim is wider; - the outer triangles of the web are a bit larger; - there is a...

    Wishbone spacers for lowered cars?

You can stack them. I hesitated to buy a 3rd set, but in the end I thought 26mm would be enough.

    CSL by GS

Hello, This Heidegger is my ex-car. It is one only two Heidegger CSLs. The other one has not resurfaced yet. Between 2000 and 2014 I did close to 50‘000 km with it. Fantastic car, amazing roadholding (in the dry !), lots of fun. I sort of like the blue paint the next owner put on the air...

    My Alpina B2 powered 3.0CS

If your engine is a 230ps B2 it should not have hemispherical combustion chambers and the pistons should be stock Si/CSi pistons. These engines "only" have the Alpina 300 degree camshaft, Alpina triple carb setup -normally Solex - and Alpina special exhaust. Not sure if they were blueprinted...

    Who's brave enough.....

The wheels on this picture are very very special. They are early production 7x14 Mahle Basketweaves, made in very limited number. These were almost prototypes, although they were occasionnally advertised for sale to the public (GS-Tuning advertisements). If you look closely you will notice...

    Who's brave enough.....

M-YM709 was one of 10 early production Batmobiles. Of these ten cars, seven were kept for BMW themselves and three were sent to the BMW dealership in the Canary Islands. The two first were test cars, manufactured end of June 1973. It looks like they were never road registered (but I could be...
