    CSL Restoration

Marc - your work is amazing. It reminds me of when I was an exchange officer with the Royal Navy in Gosport. A retired engineer lived across the street from us, and had his own small shop in the back. He could make anything. Truly outstanding work.

Suggestion for anyone who buys an older car like an e9: First thing to do: Steam clean!

Another way to do it is Cryodetail. It does not harm anything, and does an excellent job.

    Inka Orange Alpina CSL

The cost from Ottomobile is 59 Euro plus shipping to the US, which Ottomobile charges 40 Euro, plus any customs, etc. So I am essentially offering it for what I have in it to someone here on the forum. It still in all the box with the issue/certificate number. I know it is odd for the For...

    BBS VS ALPINA

The period correct genuine Alpina wheels are much more rare than the BBS 3 piece wheels - at least here in the US.

Alpina B2 3.0 CS Model - Limited Edition

Just was notified by Ottomobile that they will be producing a limited worldwide run of 2000 1/18th scale models of the Alpina B2 3.0 CS. I have both of the E31 models they have produced, and they are excellent quality. I have pre-ordered one. They tend to sell out quickly on some of the...

    FL project e9: $6,200

I live just outside of Orlando, and had the poster send me pictures. Seems like a nice guy. Pictures showed quite a bit of bubbling in the front fenders and other areas.

    850 ceiling

We were very honored and proud to be asked to display the Alpina. I think it turned out very nice. Now I just need to drive it! You will find a very helpful group, and recommendations of where to purchase parts from the members. Again, very similar to the E9 crowd.

    850 ceiling

I guess I will chime in here..... I ran the CS Register back in the 1990's and am very familiar with the E9. Since that time I have migrated up to the E31 cars. I realize that I just like the larger coupes. I am currently the President of the BMW CCA E31 Chapter, the very first and only...

    Will have to start somewhere

Peter - the car is looking great! Super work. I just did almost the same thing on the Alpina( http://www.bimmerforums.com/forum/showthread.php?1799935-Alpina-Restoration ). I know you will be proud when it is all said and done. Still miss the E9.

    Aluminium Intake

As an FYI - I would NEVER media blast an intake manifold or valve cover with glass beads. There have been documented cases where the glass beads get into the engine after reassembly and ruin the cylinder walls. I personally know a person who had to replace the engine in his BMW from this exact...

Congrats Amy on her EuroFest 2014 Best-of-the-Best Win

Congratulations to Amy on winning the Best-of-the-Best award at Eurofest 2014. As always, her car looked great. They had a special class for selected previous winners there, and all the cars were beautiful. Congrats again Amy.

Hello from a former E9 owner and Publisher of the CS REGISTER

I never had that car. Last I knew it was in Texas. Charlie Richardson either purchased it, or was thinking about it, but no restoration was done. It was hit pretty hard in the front end. I don't know what happened to that, but there was an article in one of the CS REGISTER newsletters.

Gary - if you are referring to George W. with the Red CSi, that is my prior car I had before I purchased the Alpina. Hope to see you this weekend - please come up and introduce yourself. Roger
