Yes they are Galician - I dont know why marketed as Basque! The "tomahawk" is a bit of a gimmick - it looks impressive but its basically a bone in rib-eye with extra bone. Appeals to cavemen and E9 drivers apparently. Disagree over the pepper, but as for the rest I bow to your superior steak...
Thermostat sure does look to be wide open but since you've replaced it you can strike off the list! Have you been for a drive since it was changed ie not just idling?
If still overheating, bleeding the system cant hurt though I dont think an airlock would cause symptoms you describe. Note your...
Thanks @day66 - for the less technically minded what exactly is stainless steel sleeving - presume an anti-corrosion measure? Also thanks Michael for Johns email - Ill see what he has available.
Im on the verge of sending both servos off for a costly rebuild so this is interesting. This alternative seems to maintain the dual circuit system but simplify the plumbing - correct?
Congratulations - it looks fantastic. At first glance I thought you'd black chromed the beltline trim but realise its just a trick of the lighting. Not for purists perhaps, but black trim against the white (Chamonix?) paint it would look very sharp with the black wheel centres and grilles.
HI Edmil - I might give them a call but did they attach the tube on to the stub of the broken pipe or insert and weld from the inside? Mine has broken off flush to the casing so I'm thinking the latter is only opton
thanks for checking Erik. If I ever need the right hand side I know who to call!
Seems its a fairly common failure but unless anyone knows of a spare I guess I'll be going down the trusty brass tube route!
Wasn't it just. It bears repeating - this community and forum is indeed fantastic! My mechanic said best he could find was a complete manifold plus carbs for hundreds of euros. Instead, one post on this forum and I have a possible solution (in fact two) in just a few hours, for postage and...
Thanks for comments guys and yes it is aluminium which is why I wasnt sure about the welding (plus narrow diameter of pipe). I will gratefully accept your offer Frogish - I will pm you today if thats ok

Hi from London - hope everyone keeping healthy and sane.
Looking for some advice re the bottom covers of intake manifolds (Zenith carb). The small spigot / pipe that leads off to choke mechanism has corroded and completely sheared off. I've borrowed these lovely pics from a Newsixcoupe thread...
One of mine too. Can almost forgive his terrible crooning over the sound of that glorious V12. My other favourite if you like lots of engineering chat, metal fabrication, 3D printing and top notch restoration / restomodding is Retropowercars. The series of videos documenting Gordon Murray's...
I'm definitely up for a London meet. I'm north side (Barnet). Rarely drive into London these days but I thought there was a charge exemption for classic cars over 40 years?
