Nothing is really transferable as Marko has mentioned, however a $500 Bavaria parts car would make decent recoup funds depending on what's on it. Pm me if you end up buying it as I am still missing a few pieces for my e3 restoration
Marcos, fb message received.
Yes, there was a miscommunication with all of this. I would also like to clear up that I have remodeled the a/c vents to be more printer friendly for those that are printing at home. Each piece requires nearly 12-18 hours of print time dependent on layer mm and supports
Very nice diy. If however you want to buy them, Eastwood/eBay etc has them. Roughly 10-17 bucks for a pack of 10. Also consider panel backers if you need to fill small plug holes
I'm working through something similar. My paint guy was driving the car at night when he noticed smoke coming from the dash. My recommendation is to purchase the blue books, pull the dash, and start looking at what wires are burned through
I think I might have missed it, but what material did you select. I did the following around a year ago using polypropylene however I had a few issues with warpage
Hardest part are the two or three screws by the windshield. Either risk damaging the nla windshield gasket when pulling the glass, or be prepared to get into some weird positions to reverse screw out those screws. I followed the ladder. Took about 2 hours.
I highly recommend having a blue book...
A window seal from an li will fit. Only thing you will need to address is the lower aluminum trim strip.
I have a 73 at the painters. He said seal went in with no problem (glass and trim fit). I get the car back on Sunday so I'll update then.
I got a rear seal from ecs and just picked up an li front seal yesterday. Supposedly the li will work with the exception of the lower aluminum trim portion.
If you plan on redoing the seats, just take the b pillars with you. I just finished redoing my entire interior (dash, center console, seats, carpet, mats, rear deck)
I'll be glad to answer whatever questions
I reconditioned my dash earlier this year. It is possible to remove it without taking out the windshield, but it will require you to get into some weird positions to "reverse" screw out those screws.
First post on here so be easy on me.
I have an original 73 motor that had around 120k on it before it was pulled. Some parts are missing and the engine is dissembled but is a great starting point for those wanting an original big 6.
Pm for more details.
