Watched a ~90 minute movie last night on Amazon Prime, titled 'Maserati'. Quite interesting travail that company has gone through over the past century+ period of time.

I had the '95 Porsche 928 GTS shipped from Orange county CA to southeastern PA during spring 2021. Fully enclosed, loaded in bottom front of the trailer, so never moved during the trip. Took nearly a month from my first inquiry with Intercity Lines to delivery. Actual shipping time was 8...
Here's what I used some of the $ from the sale of my e9 to purchase a couple of years ago. One of last 35 cars made in the last year of production for the N. American market (1995). Always a southern CA car for first 27 years with 3 owners. Seventh 928 I've owned in past 25 years.
My pressure bleeder also has the capacity to put up to about 2 liters of brake fluid in it, so it never needs to be disconnected from the brake reservoir for a complete 4 caliper bleed. I have never done this, since brake fluid is hygroscopic, and I always want the pressurized container as dry...
For about 20 years, I've used a pressure bleeder. I apply about 10-15 psi pressure to the master cylinder reservoir, then proceed with standard bleeding. I check reservoir level after each corner, removing pressure and refilling reservoir to maximum mark, then re-apply the pressure. Never...
Chris,

The permits for everything associated with extraction and refinement can only be granted within our combined lifetimes IF someone in DC (wonder who??) cuts some red tape.
I have a set of the two 'blue book' official BMW Workshop manuals for an e9. These are essentially like new, as I did not use them, and there are no markings, etc. on the pages. For sale at $325 plus shipping cost. They are in English. (I sold my last of four e9's about 3 years ago)...

I think it was bumper height. Amazing the NHSTA could get involved in that over 50 years ago, but the current crop of bureaucracy can not figure out that the height of headlights in large SUV's and pickups results in these cars nearly blinding oncoming car drivers who have 'normal' passenger...
Congrats. If you aren't already acquainted with Rennlist Forums, check them out. I don't know much about the 996 owners there, but having been a user and contributor to the Rennlist 928 Forum for over 20 years, I can say it is the most technically oriented and genuinely helpful forum I've...
I actually have a storage tray (I think it's from an E3). It is in good condition, but would benefit from a bit of paint restoration. For sale for $25 plus shipping!!
Send me a private message with your email address for pictures.

AS information, I'm 99% sure the '74's were not equipped with the trunk storage tray. It was provided in the '73 I had back in the mid 70's, however. The added stiffener in the '74's trunk behind the wheel well might preclude this tray from fitting.

Same reason that Jaguar had to mess up the headlight arrangement of the Series onee-type cars, and start producing the Series 2 model.
Now, the NHTSA has not done a thing about headlights on SUV's and Pickups that are so high they are essentially at eye level for the driver of a standard sedan...
I've always understood that rubber bushings are part of the 'yield' in the suspension, and rely on the flex nature of the rubber to do the job. As such, they should be installed as 'Dry' as possible. A lot of lubricant will allow the rubber bushing to rotate in the carrier, rather than have...
Look for previous comments on 'door stop' or 'door brake' on this Forum. Many have successfully used the Mercedes brake from the 20th century cars. Robust and it works great. Slight amount of modification needed for the pin.
If I recall correctly, there is a post about building a...
I don't doubt the DOT study results on DRL's for driving in cities and open interstate highways. However, I do disagree with their the conclusion for driving where I live..
We live in a mostly rural area about 10-15 miles from urban areas in 2 directions. Our local roads are twisty and...
