Consumables - Checking with those wiser than me......

Sorry, I've not much done in this area as been waylaid with a list of work from she who must be obeyed, I've spent more time fixing and renovating things on the house & garden than on the car. Thankfully I've been able to escape to watch my son play cricket so have at least managed enough time...

    Who wants to get tanked?

No worries then I assume mine is hidden away somewhere as I can't smell the fumes when driving - I hadn't seen them before. Good luck with the sales

Another addition to the collection - W201 2.3-16

You will enjoy that - I had a 2.5-16 that I used as a daily driver around the M60/M62 motorways around Manchester. Loved the fact that it was a Q car that no one looked at, but you could put your foot down and disappear off if required. Had to get rid of it when I changed jobs and had a...

    OTOTOTO

Your car is looking good! I probably know the answer already, but how did you manage to get the tar off and so cleanly down to metal in the cowl and air box area - a mixture of scraper blade and wire wheel or chemical strippers as I have this job on mine to do soon ?

    WTB: center tie rod

According to RealOEM that part was superceeded by 32211104082 which W&N do have, so try your local BMW parts shop or any others you can easily get deliveries from and if they can't beat W&N then at least you can get it from them - Center steering tie rod fits for all models and years of...

Consumables - Checking with those wiser than me......

I had the same issue at the local BMW dealership when I first got my E9, I had to take the parts guy out side to show him my car and the 7 digit VIN on the car, he still couldn't figure it out as his system said E30 318 so I've never been able to use them. I even had the email from BMW archive...

Consumables - Checking with those wiser than me......

Will see if I can work it in, but from what @HB Chris has said and looking at the site it will have to be done via the local dealers, although it may be helpful to give them the page/part references if they use that site themselves. Thats part of the cunning masterplan but I'm probably trying...

Consumables - Checking with those wiser than me......

last nights version linking the parts book page references to W&N and Realoem. I've got them linked to the corresponding web pages although the RealOEM links won't be much useful for others unless I get a way for you to change the links to other car models as it all links to the version specific...

    Heater Box

Hi Tony, it a Bosch 0130007002 found it via Ebay in the UK - they didn't show the part number so had buy it to find it out. Tidying up the heater box was one of my jobs so I'm slowly getting the parts together.

Consumables - Checking with those wiser than me......

This isn't about the work I'm going to do on my car, I'm slowly working my way through the various how to on basic maintenance/checks that have been done here before deciding on what I'm going to do and what I'm going to get done by others. I suspect a restoration thread may appear at some point...

    Triple carburetors

Have a look in the media section under engine and there's all the pictures you could hope for here - Engine | BMW E9 Coupe Discussion Forum Try the search also as all the things you're thinking of have probably been attempted, but if you're the first I'm sure you could write it up for others...
