Agree completely. It was a nightmare. New bushing definitely seem harder than the originals. I also used boiling water, lube and had to cut a chamfer into the bushing eventually. Only additional advice I have is order an extra bushing or two before hand so when you destroy one trying to...

Nice to read the input in this thread. Something else interesting worth noting in this thread is the staggering weight difference between manual and power steering set ups. I measured a 13.8kg saving without fluids. Just for reference, that’s a better weight reduction than fitting an aluminium...
