I have worked on a few with it, there is a hole in the rear panel and in the alloy trim panel, a square rear fog lamp is fitted, seen it on 1971 cars but unsure when they stopped fitting it on RHD.

When did UK cars have the built in rear fog lamp next to the left rear lamp? or when did they drop it? was it special order or std. I guess they dropped it because it was on the "wrong" side for RHD?

the outer ends, especially the front, need to be plugged otherwise the oil and pesssure escapes the inner ends do not need to be plugged as they just connect to the other shaft on that side, not sure but does one rear end need to be unplugged to provide oil to the pressure switch? 20 years since...

LED headlamps are not legal as a retrofit in the UK and probably the EU.

I will try to find a picture somewhere, it has been ripped out of the car I need it for! I could make it but would want to use the correct coloured wire and the correct sleeves, much easier to splice in an original part, must have thrown 50+ away when I scrapped E9's in the distant...

I am looking for the electric window switch wiring from the centre consul back as far as it goes, can be cut or damaged so long as the switch spades are good with a decent length of wiring, this is the type with seperate spades not the connector blocks,

The gear from a four speed 2002 is from what I remember the same, an early 2800cs may have a ZF manual box so that would be different, all automatics are from memory different,

ATF is cheap, easy to find and good for flushing out the thick oil, if it works change it in a few weeks for redline etc. ATF is actually on the box sticker for a lot of E30, E36 etc. manual boxes from the factory.

Without smelling the oil I cannot be certain but I think that is the wrong oil, is it the same as the diff (rear end) uses? As an easy experiment I would try changine the oil for ATF and see how it behaves, I use ATF, 10w40 engine oil or a special tranny fluid but ATF will be good for a test...

what oil are you using? 2nd gear synchro issues was always the wrong oil back in the day! reverse could be wrong oil and or clutch clearance issues,

The longer pins should line up with the deeper holes in the key, shorter for shallower, I think there are three lengths, pins could either be harvested from a scrap lock or machined on a lathe, a small lathe! looks like there should be six caps, springs and pins, missing a few bits,

as title, I need an early E9 electric window wiring loom, cut off might work, the early type, pre 72, had separate spade connectors for the switches rather than the block connectors with round pins, anyone got something,

do you have the wiring for the electric windows, if so is it spade connectors or the block connectors with round terminals? Pat

replaced the right side floor pan on my CSL, tightened up all the petrol hose clamps on the engine, replaced the nut and bolt through the brake master cylinder clevis with the correct pin and clip, using it for a short holiday trip later this week!
