finaly succeeded to tune the tri-power Holley carbs. Have now one smooth acceleration. Only still on the rich side , so now trying smaller jets. I do understand "at the time" many swapped that tripower for a 4 barrel. Now we have a AFR gauge, dyno etc... which make it more easy to found out...

haha, yes, even wifey asked me at a certain moment if i still had gas.... do not worry i replyed , i filled up this morning..... :D So far average is 28L/100 km.... :oops:

thanks guys for the thumbs up .... to give a idea of that scary "boost"under WOT : +150 HP over 400 rpm ! engine struggles on the center carb to long and then boem,the secundaires fly open....Far from a seamless acceleration :oops::D

time flies.... want to give a update on my US car :D Indeed now "normal" brakes with the 7/8" Wilwood MC . better handling now with rear Koni coilovers ( Germany set ) , Avon tires on new wheels ( Image Wheels UK ) Better running in low rpm with exhaust balance pipe Made a air filter top...

what did you expect ? a 2017 car compared a '70's ? Hell , my 300 HP ecoboost Mustang drives so much better/faster then the '70 E9 rally car !

after my Detomaso Pantera ( sold ) i would never buy a mid engine car again. You can see the engine but hardly reach it. Maintance was a PITA.

no gasket in those , just male/female metal joint. the collar is V shaped , so the more torque on the bolt , the more they are compressed together. Of course the compensator also allows us being a little bit out of level with the two. ( nozzles not easy to weld at that spot )

yes, the middle part is oval 73 x 45 ( same section as the 2.5" round part ) to stay away from the R&P as far as possible. I also could do it because the pan dept difference is more then 73 mm , so no ground clearance lost . The bend ( welded with oval 15° pie cuts and at 45° a little straight...

a balance pipe helps torque on low end , a X pipe favors HP at top . Should be placed as short as possible after the headers. Just made one for my Chevy V8 , as we "think" i have "reversion leanout" which gives shocking pulses accelerating from 1000 to 1500 rpm. Seen dyno results without &...
