Looks like a lot of money! I am surprised that the owner let it go. Most people do not know that you can buy back your salvage from the insurance company for a small sum and the car is not salvage title, this is because it is still yours, and the simple fact is that they did not pay you enough...

I believe it was brought out from NY about a year ago, not sure if it was really an East Coast car though. I met the owner several times at my business and around town. I tried to buy the car before it was wrecked and after to avoid it being a salvage title, but no go.

This has to be the same crashed coupe that I posted pictures of a while back. The accident happened right across the street from my house ! My Son heard it and was afraid when he saw the CS tail lights in the neighbors front yard, he though it was me. It clipped a pole and ended up on the lawn...

I just picked up my extra transmission from Don's shop. His transmission guy went through it, and it got a clean bill of health! 1 year warranty. I could keep it as a spare, but thought to offer it here on the board. $100 from this sale goes to the site! Happy to answer any questions.

Thanks for all the tips ! Update, sorry forgot to take photos o_O Sunroof trans disassembled cleaned re-shimmed using hobby shop metal shims, made in Japan. I believe for mine it was .2mm x 3 and .1mm x 1 = .7mm total. Also, took a bunch of extra time making sure that the lid was perfectly...

I need a new gas cap ! I see that BMW makes one, but its listed for a 2002. Will it work for my coupe or give me pointer please. Thanks ...
