Reunited My E9 with Original Owner After 26 Years!

Sorry for the slow reply on this. I suspect they were in their late 20s/early 30s when they got the car. I dont know how old they are today, but they're in good shape. He was a doctor, so I suspect he was doing well. Here's the video of them reunited with the car

Reunited My E9 with Original Owner After 26 Years!

So I had records of all the owners except the original. Turns out that the 2nd owner knew the name of the first. So I used online record searches to find them and I called a few numbers I could find. One happen to be their home line. Mystery solved.

Here's the video of the road trip to get the car to the original owners. Enjoy! Duane and Candace bought this car in Palm Springs, California in 1974 from a BMW showroom and cared for it for 19 years. In 2019, I reunited them with their old car by driving this coupe on 1,000 mile round-trip...

    Identifying My E9 Engine

Question for the Community. My engine was replaced by the original owner in the 80s and I'm trying to identify what engine is actually in the car. When he replaced the engine he also installed Triple Weber Carbs, Alpina Valve Train, Alpina Air Box and Hardy & Beck Suspension. Here's some...

Reunited My E9 with Original Owner After 26 Years!

Yes, I was so excited to see the photos. They also drove the car, with cameras mounted inside and outside, and they reminisced about their 19 years with the car. The footage is outstanding. I know all the owners of my car and have talked to all but one. I know where to find that one, but he's...

Reunited My E9 with Original Owner After 26 Years!

I recently drove the car over 1000 miles roundtrip, from LA to Chico and back to meet the original owner. The car was reunited with the husband/wife who bought the car in 1974 and sold it in 1993. Here's the car with the SF skyline in the background, at a hotel in Sacramento and original photos...
