Is it too much?
I've often wondered about cars like this. Without apparent internal bracing, apart from that strut brace, aren't they overpowered and overbraked for the capacity of the shell. Meaning that they'd flex like crazy - which is ok for those donuts but hopeless if you're trying to set...
I'm going to change the oils in the 4 speed gearbox and diff in my 73 cs and am looking for recommendations from fellow owners. My search of the site bought up little but a confusing set of opinions on hypoid/non-hypoid or GL4,5 and 6 oils - a least confusing to this reader...
I'm in Australia...
odd though...
...after all that work, the carpet and interior look almost an afterthought. I'm surprised at the condition of the carpet after what is presumably very limited use.
Otp
In particular this part about carving a wheel well from a solid block of alloy

Just a touch over the top me thinks
Even though the subject is non-coupe, I thought you guys might enjoy seeing this. Quite extraordinary workmanship for what is just a Cobra and what staggers me is that it's all carved out of billet

Imagine the resto you could do with that amount...
Web site
Hi Simon,
Love what you're attempting with the resto. Re the Web site: instead of complicated flash/Java slide shows that are difficult to control and slow to load, how about considering a simple Flikr album that lets us choose the images we want to view - and lets you add comments...
Mattie,
I had a similar problem on my rhd CSi a couple of years ago. Spent a small fortune getting pretty much everything rebuilt trying to trace the issue. Turns out that the two small brake hoses on the rear of the car - from memory about 6 inches long - were the culprits. The hoses...
Thanks for the interest everyone. Unfortunately the car is off the market. I say unfortunately because my company has decided to put my US posting on hold. I guess its good if I get to keep the car though!
Thanks for the support.

An alert to the overworked and under-thanked mods who run this board. The last month has seen a number of new members whose common interest seems to be the length of my appendage, the Gene Simmons sex tape and curious Turkish sexual traditions - an obsession with big butts apparently one of...

NYC?
Thank you for the comp. Not sure that I'd like a coupe if I'm living somewhere like the Bronx but the upside is that I get to visit Watkins Glen a lot - one of the great historic circuits in the world.
Having said that, Google streetview of the Bronx reminds me on inner Melbourne where...

Going overseas forces the sale of my much loved, weekend driven E9 coupe.
Asking $22,400 AUD
I've had it for two years and it has been an eye-catching, very reliable joy in that time. A local car; the previous owner was an elderly gentleman who I understand had the car for many years (it...

While sizing up the market before I put my beloved coupe up for sale, I came across this wonderful example of individualism at work. I especially love the optism evidenced by the sales pitch above.
Also of note is an interior that would make a 70's Cadillac designer blush and the twin side...
