16" Alpina knock-offs on ebay

These are 21 spoked rims and not the 20 spokes of the Alpinas!

I talked to Ireland Engineering, and they confirmed that they would fit an E9. Obviously not a stock look, but great for a restomod candidate. Ireland sells them for $680/set!

So is it safe to say that other than the additional spoke, these wheels look identical to a real Alpina?

Very difficult to count those spokes when the car is running....difficult even when its parked.

Another difference is that the knock offs are not staggered with the rear being 1" wider. There are pros and cons to this feature.

i just picked up a set of the 'falpinas' a couple of months ago. No complaints so far. Couldnt pass them up for $699 shipped. They look great. the edge of the painted black center is not as accurate as i'd like, but its not enough to make me regret it... at all. No structural faults so far (dont foresee any either).... and even if there were any, you could buy 4 more sets for what the new, authentic open lugs will run you. You have to be careful with your tire selection if your car is lowered because the offsets are a little different and can cause interference. I can post pics if you are interested...
