1972-72 E-9 Interior Leather ? or Leatherette ?

Was the interior leather or leatherette (faux leather) for the USA cars brought in through Max Hoffman ?

my understanding is that US cars were leather.

All were leather, Canadian coupes tend to be vinyl (leatherette) and they received the same mods that US cars had like side markers and big bumpers in 74.

Leatherette is just another name for vinyl, BMW also called it skai.
