Seems it’s often the way. My car is unrestored but is the same. Mine is under seal…could it be the same on that car?And why do they insist on painting wheel wells and underside black?
Perhaps they have a shop in Poland or something just cranking out the chassis's?i'm always amazed how they do it... they have a restored coupe , perhaps not every week , but sure every month.
Maybe they're subcontracting with Select Classics in Dallas - I hear they've done hundreds!i'm always amazed how they do it... they have a restored coupe , perhaps not every week , but sure every month.
I am looking forward to seeing your coupe, it looks stunning!Chris--You're gonna hate my car!!! The shop sprayed black chip-guard on the entire underneath body and in the wheel wells. But I don't drive the car upside down and the top side looks pretty nice.....
Me too, I have an Exxon Valdez worth of black undercoat on my car from the dealer I suppose. But it has kept lady rust at bay pretty well so no complaints from me.Chris--You're gonna hate my car!!! The shop sprayed black chip-guard on the entire underneath body and in the wheel wells. But I don't drive the car upside down and the top side looks pretty nice.....
Is the underside and wheel wells need to be body color? If you are going to use under hood stickers, at least put them in the proper location. And why do they insist on painting wheel wells and underside black?
Actually they don't insist, they will paint them as the customer wishes. Not everyone wishes to have body colour under the car..If you are going to use under hood stickers, at least put them in the proper location. And why do they insist on painting wheel wells and underside black?
How did the coupes leave the factory?Actually they don't insist, they will paint them as the customer wishes. Not everyone wishes to have body colour under the car..
Hey Ty, mine is undercoated black as well, I’m just curious how they left the factory. If it's going to be a driver, just undercoat it and call it done. 99% of the coupes out there aren't entering Concour events...
Thanks for sharing, the grey bottoms looks sharp and paints a better picture for resale transperancy of the components. My car is not anywhere (gratuitous to even type ) close to concourse, but we always obsess over these dumb details. I said I would never, but here i am. Lol.They left the factory with a grayish undercoating. What seems unclear is whether US cars wheel wells were painted in body color as opposed to Euro cars……
Few examples…….
