Great looking restoration. How were you lucky enough to accumulate so many genuine Alpina parts? Please post more pics if you can. Thanks.

restored by Mario Langsten of Vintage Sports & Racing.

I have also written an article for my local BMW CCA car club and would be happy to email that (~8MB) if you want a copy.

Very nice

Really, really nice.

I had a visit to Mario's shop about 5 years ago. He's a great guy. He spent an hour or so going over my coupe and explaining the pros and cons of coupe ownership to a very green owner, despite knowing full well that it wasn't going to mean a cent of profit for him.

I wish I could afford to drive my car up there and leave it with him.
It's obvious he does great work.

regarding the headers

The headers were an Alpina after-market item that the original owner (I am only the second owner in the car's lifetime) imported and had installed. During my restoration at VSR they refinished the headers and a few other upgrades with the 3.5 M30 installation.

So you're an Aussie eh! So am I. Melbourne born and bred, though I still have the accent after 8years living here in Boston USA.
