Thanks. Yeah, I thought about doing that, but I spent $21.95 on that sexy 1974 sticker. I didn’t want to cover it up. So I thought I’d try the aluminum tab they sent me, and I actually like the way it looks. It’s just interesting.Looks great. You don’t have to use that tab if you don’t want to, just stick the current year on the plate. Interesting about the lien restriction.
Thanks. The paint was inconsistent. Mismatched on various panels, from repairs. Granatrot seems to be tough to match/blend. Also, the plastic surgery of the bumper conversion. And lastly, a Santa Cruz tweeker on a scooter hit the right fender coming off a sidewalk into the intersection I was crossing, and flew over the hood, denting the fender and scratching the hood. I think he also broke some bones, but I wasn’t paying too much attention to that. The cops gave him a ticket, and asked if I wanted to press charges, which I didn’t. Then they hauled him away, presumably to a bone repair place. That looks great. Where and why did you have it resprayed?
Thanks. I didn’t file a claim, as I was going to pull the motor and respray the car anyways. I’m saving my insurance mulligans for bigger thingsGood story... I mean the tweeker part. I think it's close to a fair trade... Dent in a beautiful coupe for a bone fracture. Hopefully the insurance covered the paint work. Looks great!
The shifter boot/surround looks REALLY good in leather.Finished
I’d recommend these guys. Ray’s Upholstery in Watsonville. They made the shifter boot and recovered the shifter surround in the seat leather. I’m guessing that setup is BTF.
