Our good friend Anders over on BMW2002FAQ posted this up and gave me the go-ahead to repost it here on e9coupe.

I hope everyone enjoys this as much as I did. Wonderful write-up and fantastic photos. I gotta get to this event somehow, some way...

Revival should be on everyone’s bucket list, as long as you don’t mind seeing mostly British and Italian classic race cars

The viagra is for the aging drivers. Not the spectators. If you want the full experience camp British style (way too much drinking, singing, and peeing in the bushes).

Attended the Goodwood Festival of Speed about 25 years ago (late spring event). Always hoped I'd be able to get back for the Revival (summer event), but didn't make it, and I'm pretty confident I will now expire before I ever get there!! That's life!

Go to one or the other if you ever have the opportunity. Fabulous facility and equipment being used for the racing/hill climb. I felt I was actually 'rubbing shoulders' with anyone and everyone from the European and US racing community over the previous 35-40 years.

The Revival is way better than FOS except if you are a burn out junkie.

Let’s go together next year.

I was there this year, found it a bit too busy around the track, 10 deep unless you went along way from the start/finish line but not being very mobile these days that made it difficult, if I was to go again I would buy a roving grandstand ticket but I wanted to see as much as possible of the whole event and there's a lot to see. Great access to most pit areas but some needed an additional pass, probably at additional cost.
