Hi guys. Got 2 of these available. 55mm tip, the 3.0 uses a 60 and I'm going for a stainless system so these are now surplus. Brand new £50 plus shipping

Yes sir.
Looks like it was on a car for a very short time, looking at the inside. Outside looks NOS. Dark spots in second shot are reflections via the "crimp dots"...don't know if there is a real name for them in exhaustese.

Now I cam across a thread that stated that the E3 were 55mm but I just measure my E3 with stock muffler and the tip is 60mm. If you all recall a box of tips, 55mm and 60mm were on ebay, NOS. The person that bought them sent a bunch as gifts to anyone who needed one. That's what I love about this forum. He actually sent me two, 60mm. One for the Bav and one for the E9.

You'll have to check your OD (outside diameter) on the muffler/exiting pipe, as things may have been changed out, etc.
It’s defiantly 60mm. How do I know? I bought a 55mm and it’s too small. I just replaced the entire exhaust system in the fall, got it all from Maximillian, except the tip, which is/was back ordered. Apparently they had added the wrong tip to the order.

If the one at Wallontech is the same as other 60mm’s I think I’me fine. It’s just that it’s listed for a 3.0si and I wasn’t sure if there was some change for the later year cars. Thinking not, but thought I’d ask before I order (or see if someone has one before I pay 65% of the cost of the part for shipping). Thanks.

So keeping with the hijacking theme..................my tailpipe is 55mm. I plan on removing it and cleaning it up since it is solid and NLA. I expect the exhaust ring between it and the rear muffler to crumble so want to be ready. Question is, is the exhaust ring 55mm or 60mm? 60mm may make sense since the ends of the pipes are flared. No 55mm part number in RealOEM.

Here is what I learned today. The Fritz Bits tail pipe must be 56 or 57mm, my 60mm is way too big and the 55mm will not slip on.
