2800cs on a short drive

i worked on the spark plugs a little and the car drives like this now
the idle is a tad bit high.
and i can hear a bit of a knockin sound at speed...
but what do you guys think about her ?
i meant does she sound alright or like there are issues still?

you know... i noticed it works when the car is running but out of gear.
as soon as i put the gear in , the tach stops... :confused:
i was wondering what that is all about...

Michael,
Check the black lead at the speed relay's I or II. They go from the relay to coil (-)post that then continues to tach. I believe that if the relay is not getting a speed sense it will not send to tach. If not getting sense it may be the solenoids (2) within the circuit or even a bad connection at the solenoid (green-black or green-violet and/or ground brown).
