I have searched and see some discussion about the crossmember needed when a 5 speed is installed into an E9. The part number in Carl Nelson's article seems to be unavailable now? and I see reference to a cast one being prone to breakage. I was wondering if anyone here has used/adapted one from an early E23. As you can see, it is flat and may not be even close, but perhaps someone here has "experimented" and found a way to make this one work. Any ideas? Thanks Mike

Sorry. I do not have this info.
I paid 100€ for the alu part + 2*40€ for 2 used rubbers.
I learned, that the vertical position is important. Just to keep the rubber disc free from torsion.
If you have no other possibilty I can ask the seller. :)

if SFDon says get the coupeking part ... and then sold all of his stock of the BMW pieces ... that should tell you something. the CK part is amazing. i already have one to onto my coupe

I too have one of the coupeking parts based on Don's recommendation.

To the OP -- I pulled one of the aluminum parts pictured in post 4 and have it laying around here somewhere. If you want it, pm me.
