Reflectors cleaned and covered in aluminium tape. Not my finest job but every little helps. Polished up the drivers unit as the adhesive had cured

I'm very curious to know about your findings on the stainless-steel bumper. How is the shiny & color compared to work from an A grade chrome shop?
I don't think, at least around here anyway, I would have been getting all bumpers done to this standard for the price. Stainless will scuff easier and in certain angles you can see some brushed marks, but I think some careful love and a rouge mop will help.

Not done a huge amount lately. Stripped the quarter lights, window chrome, indicator frames and some other bits to send off for chroming. Also cleaned, painted, and polished up the headlight grilles. Making a start now stripping off the anodising and polishing up the belt line trim. There is so many different pieces of aluminum trim on these cars with it all laid out in front of you it does seem a bit daunting!

Nothing hugely different to report. Unfortunately have had some rather serious neck and back issues which left me unable to walk and work for a few weeks so the coupe took a step back! Headliner came from KHM and sent off a few other bits to the interior trimmer in Poland so they can make a start in the new year. The bulk of the ally trim is now cleaned and polished ready for reinstallation.

Decided on smoked figured eucalyptus for the interior wood and the deep red leather for a friend's e9 I will be buttoning up shortly, whilst gorgeous, isn't for me. I will be going ecru to match the E46 m3 although the quality of leather work from Nojser really is a thing to behold and I can't wait to see my interior when it is all complete.

Popped round to the bodyshop to see how things were getting along. Progress is slow but at least allows me to do some other things.

Went up to the North over the holiday period and started fitting in the wiring harness to a friend's supercharged s62 powered e9. Lots of goodies on this. E28 rear end, e36 m3 front end and rack + pinion conversion.

So a long story short. Big falling out with the paint shop after 3 months of the car being there and barely 15 hours work, if that, done on the car. Most of which spent with me there helping gap panels up.
Original agreement completely disregarded and was informed if I wanted the car to be completed even remotely on schedule it would cost about £15,000. After spending several minutes laughing I promptly returned with a trailer and back into storage.

Took the car to another body shop at the recommendation of a friend, 2 weeks later final blocking done and almost ready for paint. Eta is end of march but at his rate perhaps sooner. Also some progress on the leather. I've gone for ecru, this was available on the bmw individual program in the early/mid 2000s as it is in my E46 m3 and I absolutely adore the colour and will suit the smoked eucalyptus and black paint well.

Some progress too with the interior, rear seats being reprofiled to match the Scheels much how Mr Cain had his done too. Really pleased with how they look already

Very nice, I see the botom part of dash what about upper part is it same color?
The original dash pieces were in excellent condition so I am reusing them. Everything above the wood will be black, including the headlining. Going for a similar look as my M3 with the extended leather
