Hello BMW Forum, I hope you and yours are healthy during this trying time.
I just replaced my water pump in my 1970 e3 2500. The original 5 blade fan with friction clutch is spinning but isn't locking up when hot so I'm concerned I'm going to overheat as the days get hotter. Surprisingly the temp gauge isn't going above 1/3 but I think it's do to having no AC and a re-cored radiator with new coolant. The cost for a new 9 blade fan, viscous clutch and parts is really costly and I've tightened my belt due to the current economical conditions. I could go electric but I want to keep the originality of a mechanical fan if possible. Does anyone have a 9 blade fan and viscous clutch they can part with? Note this must mate to the square 4 hole pattern of the water pump.
