Aircon temperature control broken

The ceramic mount of the potentiometer is broken. Applying super glue will surely not last long.
Any idea for repair or replacement?

Quick search reveals some potential problems with dried superglue - possibly flammability and release of toxic substances!

Ceramic is holder/insulator for (hot!) wound resistor wire. Wouldn't use super glue due to heat but applying a modern high heat epoxy coating that would lend structural strength should add a few years. Hollow rivets might allow mounting a backing plate - sounds like a project for someone.

Those haven’t been made since 1992. We replace with a simple low, high switch that doesn’t heat up. Plug and Play.

Just learned that there is a switch of the same type available for MB:

They haven't been made for a while but that never stopped me before.
Doesn't look like there is a provision for powering up the thermostat (or relay depending on year - 5th pin?)
Don't see a wire

You are right, it's missing.
I'm just starting to understand the function:

The single black wire powers the thermostatic switch that turns on the compressor.
Two versions- early and late.
