I love it. But unlike the 1600GT very few if any BMW parts included in the manufacture of this car. Badging not withstanding.
Less than 400 built. Know any mechanics familiar with this V8?

do I detect a tiny Hoefmeister kink? Aside from the roundel badge I don't think there are any BMW parts on this car. Not even a kidney grill

Pretty robust bidding - $39K 7 days from end. Amazing the number of comments on BAT for such a rare car.

Where the heck do you get a new, non-dried out timing belt for this engine? Can they be custom made? There is one spare that comes with the car, but how old is it?

Bid to $63K on BAT RNM. Might have done better with walk around/driving videos and a more engaged seller.
So the obvious pivot is to eBay with a $119K asking. Brilliant.

The monied market has spoken, bet eBay will be a no sale.
Have noticed very few older Glas & BMWs actually selling on eBay.

BaT & Hemmings have hurt the Ebay vintage Glas & BMW market they are just classifieds now.

These cars were never really strong as their aesthetics are somewhat questionable. Proper price for this car is about 80K.
IMHO-

Our hobby has entirely, fatally, embarrassingly jumped the shark. ESPECIALLY if the market for our cars can drag a thing like that V8 Glas up to 60k+ bidding.

Yes, kind of an Opel from the side, and some 70s Japanese style car front and rear.
Jumping the shark should be avoided except for the E24.

This car have been named after it was announced as Glaserati

The older it is the nicest it appears for me. I really like a cluster full of gauges.
