Wondering if anyone ever seen them?

Not a fan of the chrome, even though it's factory correct. Reminds me too much of chromed out pickup truck:

I have a couple of pictures I saved to my computer when I saw them, because I think it looks pretty nice!

Cheers,

That DOES look pretty good. Would look even better w/a dark-colored car.

do these normally have the rubber fender protectors on them between the fender and flares?

Love the body color flares and the rubber in between helps it stand out even more. So much nicer this way.

Anyone make like...fiberglass copies? Or bare steel? Hate to get stainless steel ones and try to paint over that.

Zaprace in the UK have them in fibreglass. I called them to see of they could send me a pic but they only produce them on Order. I'm not too fond of the chrom and don't have them on the CSL. Would love to hear if anyone has bought the fiberglass sets as to the quality and fit and how they look when painted and installed.

I really like the profile of the genuine arches with the square side - totally different to most of the aftermarket arches I have seen. If someone copied the genuine arches in GRP i'd have as set in a shot.

If the body color is one available in vinyl you can wrap the chrome in vinyl. It will help protect them and also give the desired look. Can easily be removed if you decide to go back to the chrome look.

This is what the Zaprace says:
GRP small arch extensions set4 +5mm (.25").(originals were stainless steel - full CSL width).....£144
Sounds like it's worth trying since I'm not a fan of the chrom arches. Maybe this winter. If anyone decides to try them before or even intends to order a set, I might join as these have to be 'made' per order. Keshav

Just remember. Zaprace makes race car parts, if you want show car quality and installation there is probably more work beyond just drilling holes in the fender and running a bunch of mounting screws into it. I have bought from them before and was 100% satisfied with what I got. But I am a little hesitant to put new non-original holes into the exterior sheet metal of a nicely restored street E9.
