Hey guys, in case I don't get a hold of Don Lawrence and since my car is sitting a few miles from my home before a storm comes tomorrow!

I was driving her back from a warm up drive today cruising along just fine. Then I accelerated to pass a car and she died...engine didn't turn off but it was like no spark or fuel. I pulled over and looked under the hood for lose wires and hoses and nothing. I've got megasquirt and it's hooked up too. She will turn over fine but not light up.

I looked closely at the throttle linkage since the event happened after I passed the car but it's all connected and moving smoothly.

Yes, she has gas (just put in half a tank yesterday). Maybe a clogged fuel filter? Thanks for any advice on what to check - no local experts on my resto mod engine.

Wayne- get a volt meter, a spark plug, a screw driver, a plastic bottle and a foot of wire.
When you have those items call me on my cell.

Wayne,

With the laptop hooked up. Have you checked that all the sensor read normally on the dash? Next, you can run some tests (right hand most pull down menu) to see if the fuel pump is running and you are getting spark. Do you hear the fuel pump come on for it's priming cycle with key on?

Have you checked the fuse to the fuel pump and coil?

update

Thanks Sven and Don for the help today. Car has been safely towed back to my garage before impending snow storm out here.

Don and I tried spark plug test from the coil and there appeared to be no spark.

So this triage will await until next weekend.

I'm charging up the laptop to see what MS box can tell me. Battery is fine at 12.7 volts.

Hope it's not a bad coil...
