Bet many wish they had a brand new center console like the one pictured....

Maybe without the Auto box, also never seen the German A/C lettering before :)

Cool.

I wish I had a 3.3Li!

What I can tell you is that the 4 speed models of the 2000CS got the short end of the stick when it came to center consoles.... I've been wondering how hard it would be to retrofit an auto console for the stick shift...

lame....

This one is on fleaBay, but I'd need to make the side pieces... I just don't think it will work, though. The hole is too far off from where it needs to be... hmmmmph (maybe Bela could work some magic?)

Ed, I absolutely love your attention to detail on the early coupes....keep it up.

BTW not only does that auto console look super cool, make me wonder how it would actually look modified correctly in a e9 coupe?

Thanks guys... I drove it to a local Friday car gathering today at lunch. There is always an eclectic group of vintage cars; from Model A Fords, to the latest Jaguar. Only one person knew what I was driving... I kinda liked that :)

What year is the advert from? Did you notice the "Bavaria S radio with car telephone system. Available on request"? I know Amos Burke had one in his Roller in the '60's but that was actually a radio system of some sort. When did car phones start?
