Unfortunately I noticed poor condition centre bearing asm last year when I put engine / gearbox back in car, but could not wait to source bearing. Now rubber support of bearing has failed (I now have replacement).

Has anyone had luck replacing bearing without fully removing exhaust? I would also like to avoid removing Guibo and keeping front section of shaft under the car ?
Any tips.

FYI I have completed replacement of centre bearing.
For the record, i didn't need to remove the exhaust pipe, I just undid rear muffler hangers and lowered exhaust pipe slightly on a trolley jack, and moved to one side. I could then fit front drive shaft out beside the exhaust.
Although the manual says to remove the gumbo with the tail shaft, I find it easier to leave it on the gearbox.
