I know, because they can but why are the rubber transmission mounts, diff mount, and strut bearings so costly? I just bought a BMW-stamped transmission mount from an Ebay seller in Rome, at 60 bucks, a bargain...sadly. Lemforder alum strut bearings for our X3 were 30 bucks.

Did you check with FCP Euro in CT? They usually give good prices on OE parts, and also can obtain OEM parts - Lemforder might be the OEM for that mount, but it wouldn't have a BMW stamp on it (lose points in upcoming Cars and Coffee Concours???).

FCP and I are on a first name basis. I don't need any parts, just wonder why the cost. I just bought an accelerator pedal from the dealer and with 20% discount, it was still 120 bucks...................price is the same from FCP, Turner, W&N etc..
