this car was at gaydon last year and what a monster it was car is lovely but i dont like the interior. I have delt with the chap who actualy built the car he recently sold it to the guy who has it for sale now.

I find any BMW without a BMW powerplant to no longer be a BMW. Why not a BMW V-8? or an S54? And besides that a monster V-8 and an Automatic, are you kidding me?

Looks like an LS series V8. Great power, reliable, lightweight and very reasonable on cost. I would image a BMW V8 being quite a bit more expensive and harder to convert. I agree with you on the automatic though. I'm sure it runs great and is pretty fast, but why bother with an automatic if you're going to put a big power plant in?

The LS series V8 swap into Miata's is being very popular these days. A friend is getting ready to do one. I prefer the LS in a third generation RX7 myself.

I've seen the V8/Miata conversion done on TV (Speed's 'Gearz' show) and looked like a real hoot. Relatively simple kit, its all been figured out...

But have to agree, if your gonna go thru the trouble....you gotta have a stick.
