Hello, my name is Adriaan and I'm from the Netherlands. My first coupe 3.0csi I bought 17 years ago and was a well-knownpoor condition. In 2000 I started with the restoration and in 2005 it was ready. He is not original because I replaced the engine by a S38B36 engine. The old original engine had a problem, but maybe I restore it later. Personally, I found the race-version E9 always great "The Batmobile E9" and I begin to look in 2008 for a donor car. In 2009 I found a 3.0csi and the same year I begin with the restore. I hope I will finish this year so I can drive this year. The engine will be a M106.
I also find it interesting to read your stories and so to gain knowledge.
Greetings,Adriaan

You are making me feel like a real amateur :-( Please continue to post on that awesome car, I'm sure many of us would love to attempt a project like that though I don't think the results would be nearly as nice-at least if I did it- Would be great fun to try though!!

E9 Batmobile

Thank you for the nice words.<O:p</O:p
Lorenzo: Both BMW have a registration and there are some illegal modifications. Nobody knows eeuuhh. The simple inspection take place every two years and that is not a problem. If you don’t have vehicle registration </SPAN>it becomes more difficult.......
</SPAN><O:p</O:p</SPAN>The Batmobile photos are one of the last. Here are a few pictures of the changing in the past 6 years.

I have bad internet, I send the pictures later </SPAN><O:p</O:p

Nice projects you have there!

I noticed you have a trailer hitch on the CSi, is there anyway you can post some pics from underneath the car (its mounting points, etc) when possible?

I am looking to replicate one and gathering reference images.

thank you!

Great cars. Those BBS wheels look great. The centers are probably dated mid '70s?
