A Seattle BMW friend @Vitaliy semenyuk is parting his project. Some may remember this car Verona-painted car from CoPart several years ago. The car suffered a minor engine fire that put the vehicle in a salvage status. I doubt that salvage title would have been issued in 2020 given the value spike, but it is what it is. If you have witnessed or experienced an engine fire, it is apparent that this fire was suppressed very quickly. The shell can be sold complete, but that is a conversation with Vitaliy.

He is best reached via text message at:

(5 minus 1) Two 5 dash Niner 7 uno dash deux 76 quattro

If you can’t figure out that brain teaser above, shoot me a PM.

Now for the photos:

I have offered to help Vitaliy with part values and identification. Feel free to PM me as needed. I will provide my take on market value high and low.

The go-to items are the dash, door panels, sears. The bumpers, the AC setup. The clutch pedals.

Update: Note interior note that these are early ‘71 seats.

very nice looking early seats with low lever + no back trim. so what are those tires on the other side of the seats? those don't look like 195/70-14's
Markos, let me know more about the dash

HVAC:

Original AC faceplate also available, but hacked for DIN. Buyer of the AC package can get a printed plate from me for half-price.

Those might be early seats but they don’t have the pleats even without the trim pieces, and they look awfully thin. Are they vinyl?

The entire interior is custom. Custom color, material, textures, etc. I’m not sure on material. I will check in. All buyers are welcome to call or text Vitaliy. I’m just helping, not brokering.

Bumpers: I sold my rear core for $1K, as have several others. The center connector sells for $150 to $200 alone. I don’t see underriders, so I would deduct $200 to $250. $1750 to $1,800 is fair, even better if shipping included. Bumpers from europe are much cheaper but cost a small fortune to ship. Although the rear breaks down you still need a 3ft x 3ft box.

Just a reminder to folks that I am not brokering or flipping, selling, or shipping any of these parts. Vitaliy’s number is above. I’m helping with ID and value. I typically value on the low (fair) side, but some if these parts that are very hard to find or NLA should stick with real market value. Feel free to PM me or post a question on value/pricing in this thread.

Wow! Lots and lots of great stuff there!

Agreed! The hoarder in me wishes I actually needed any of the parts that he is selling. :D I have a few things on hold for myself though.

darn -SEEMS SAD TO TAKE APART SOMETHING THAT IS SO GOOD LOOKIN.

Such a shame. Wasn't THAT bad IIRC.

I concur - seems like there's more good than bad. This one could have been saved.

Nobody wants to see an e9 die. I still have hope that someone may want to pick up the shell for $2,000 or so to play race car. The sad truth is that 95% percent of people don’t want to invest the time and money into a project e9. You see the constant disclaimers on BaT. How many project cars (including mine) do you see on the forum that sit with a failure to launch, or in a stalled status?

I have passed along info on some very promising project cars. Nobody bites. The cars go to aspirational folks on craigslist or facebook, not knowledgeable e9 owners.

This car has a salvage title. A great car for a DIY’er but not a good starting point for a checkbook restoration.

If anyone still wants to live out the fantasy, this is what a restored ultra-rare Riviera Blue e9 looks like:
