Yall probably remember the car. I took it under my wing and didn't get much done besides putting the glass and regulators back in and getting a title for it. I ran into some trouble so I'm now forced to sell.

This car kills me to sell as I know how rare of an opportunity it is. And its way more fun to build a car like this than restore one. Perfect car for a vintage racer, or tribute.

New Nose Panel
New Fenders
New Inner Fenders
I Think Rear Quarters were Replaced
Driver floor Repaired - rest of the floors are solid
Rockers Solid ( RS is New )
Only rusted area is the Spare Tire Well
Sunroof Panel Missing

It does have some door cards, and the metal and wood retainers that go under the windows, seats... which not much mattered to me. The car does have the body harness wiring left. It also has all the waistline trim.

Its missing a steering column, complete dash, fuel tank, pedal assembly, diff, taillights, bumpers, and the sunroof, and more stuff..

The floors havent been replaced but patched solid. The trunk is very solid, besides the spare tire well.

For whatever reason it has 2800cs trailing arms in rear.

It has the steering box, and linkage in place.

Some Info from BMW Archive - The BMW 3.0 CS Automatic VIN 2230587 was manufactured on November 29th, 1971 and delivered on December 22nd, 1971 to Belgium. The original colour was Baikal metallic, paint code 042

Had great plans for a 3.5, triple webers, coilovers, LSD, dog leg, cage, BBS E50, Scheel Seats, plastic dash, and batmobile wing spoilers and windsplits.... BUT life happened.

Ive attached some photos of what I took, and i hope ok with Kris.. also his previous photobucket album.

Car has a clean FL title in my name, not bonded.

Asking 10k.

Wow! Based on the photos, 10K seems like a very, very good price. The engine bay (including the shock towers) looks super clean. Plus you get most of the belt line trim, glass, seats, etc...

Double bonus-you get those killer wheels!;)

Killer buy! Even if you have to transport one across country! Would help to have another E9 as a reference for when you have to put stuff together.

Dash pieces and bumpers will be $$$, but won't be too hard to get.

GL! Wish I had room, time, and money! (don't we all?)

Q: does it have a VIN tag and other tags (like on a-support when you open the door)?

I actually have a rusty but complete 3.0cs sunroof automatic with title I could include for an extra 5k.

Car in this condition would easily fetch double the asking price over on our side of the pond.

Best of luck with the sale Ian
