Hello all,
i have a decent (conservative 7/10) 38cm Petri für sale with correct E9 hub, cover and Petri horn button. The spokes are very smooth but some pitting is visible under the surface. I’d call it a decent driver wheel. Grip is solid, no weak spots. And a set of Dan Monney screws :)
(I also have an 02 hub and cover for sale, you can have both. For the 02 hub and cover I’d like 250€)
Im asking for € 1250 plus mailing. 02 hub extra......
please PM me if interested.
Thanks for looking

How deep are the pits? Could they be resolved with the removal of a thin layer of metal?

The spokes are super smooth, the pitting is underneath. They can only be noticed at a certain angle at which I’ve taken the pics, intentionally. I’ve polished the spokes so they are super smooth and any removal of the top surface could result in a the chrome surface appearing like in the example pic. Good intention but not so good a result considering it’s a genuine Csl wheel.
Between holding the wheel in the hands and staring at any and every imperfection (which I do) and it being mounted to the car are two different scenarios. When I hold the wheel as in driving position, I don’t see the pitting at all.
The first pic is taken at a 3-4 foot distance and the pitting is not visible......
