Hello DQ. The chart of all the different part numbers for the Zeniths that you are showing makes me wonder if you know what the differences are between the different carbs? And are any of the differences visually obvious??

I was just starting to rebuild carbs on my 1971 euro 3.0cs, and the air cleaner bolt on top of the front carb just spins, won't unscrew. Don't know how to get it out, or even if I could, would the carb be viable. I don't know if a U.S. Zenith 35/40 would work on my euro, if not then I am interested. I don't know if I could ever get my own carb to look as nice as yours, I'd probably have to sell the whole car.

You can get it out, put a set of vicegrips on it and pull like hell Once out , you can either put a helicoli in or a time sert to fix it Take apart the carbs, get them vapor blasted, the linkages plated and they will work great if you are careful rebuilding them they will also look terrific PM me if you want more info I love these carbs and when they are set up right, they work really well

Thanks, Rick

Thanks for the reply, Rick I will try that. I've always tried to live by the motto "what one man can do, another can do". Good to know it can be done.

well this one is new old stock, i simply put new gaskets on it

carbs can be overhauled, steps are laborious but simple, in most cases they can be rebuilt, good luck

I seem to remember a wonderful multipart deQ Zenith restoration tutorial on Youtube a few years ago. I had a bit of a search but couldn't find it. Did you remove it deQ?

So what is a pair of '73 Zeniths worth?
